PAIN POINTS

Maybe this sounds familiar

You’ve read the tips. Saved the posts. Tried the routines. And still, something feels hard, confusing or unsustainable.

This support may be for you if any of this sounds like your real life.

You do not need another generic checklist. You need someone to look at the whole picture with you.

✓ Your baby wakes so often that you no longer know what counts as a normal night.

✓ Naps are short, unpredictable or only happen with feeding, movement or contact.

✓ Bedtime has become the most stressful part of the day.

✓ Feeding hurts, feels confusing or has become different from what you expected.

✓ You are breastfeeding, mixed feeding, pumping or using formula — and still receiving advice that does not fit your family.

✓ You are preparing to return to work and cannot see how sleep, feeding, childcare and your career are supposed to coexist.

✓ You still care about your work and your ambitions, but motherhood has changed the questions you are asking.

✓ You have read a hundred tips and still do not know which one applies to your baby, your body or your life.

Approach

THE APPROACH

Support without fear, shame or copy-paste plans

Evidence matters. So do your baby, your feeding goals, your values and your capacity.

No cry-it-out

I do not use approaches that require leaving babies alone to cry. Sleep changes are introduced responsively, gradually and according to your family’s goals.

No unrealistic
guarantees

I will not promise a twelve-hour night, zero wake-ups or a fixed result by a certain date. Babies are human beings, not software updates. We focus on realistic, sustainable improvement.

No forced weaning

You do not have to stop breastfeeding to work on sleep. We consider feeding, development and sleep together and work with your feeding goals rather than against them.

No feeding shame

Breastfeeding, mixed feeding, pumping and formula feeding are all welcome. The goal is not to judge how you feed your baby, but to help you find a safe and workable path.

No generic plans

There is no universal schedule that works for every baby or family. Recommendations are shaped around your child, your routines, your capacity and your priorities.

The mother matters too

Your baby’s needs matter. Your sleep, health, identity, work and emotional capacity matter too. Support should not erase the person doing most of the supporting.

REAL FAMILIES

What families say after feeling properly supported

Heelin, Alan & Milou (9 months)

Our 9-month-old daughter (Milou) was waking up constantly and would only fall asleep while breastfeeding, which was really wearing us out. Verónica's gentle, adaptive approach changed our stressful nights into a much more relaxed routine in just a few weeks. Being heard without judgment by someone who has been there made us feel so seen and supported as well. Even now, we feel confident we can handle any future sleep issues using what she taught us.
About

ABOUT

Veronica Aguado, founder of Matrescence, holding her baby.

Hi, I'm Verónica — the human behind Matrescence.

I support families with baby sleep and feeding, and mothers navigating identity, ambition and the return to work.

My background brings together three areas that are usually treated separately: respectful infant sleep support, lactation and feeding, and more than 15 years of experience in HR, leadership and executive coaching.

That means I do not look only at whether your baby is sleeping, feeding or following a routine. I look at the whole picture: your baby’s development, your feeding goals, your family dynamics, your capacity and the life you are trying to return to — or rebuild.

I am also a mother of two. I have lived pregnancy loss, IVF, fragmented sleep, breastfeeding, return-to-work decisions and motherhood in an international family. I know what it feels like to receive a lot of advice and still not feel properly supported.

I created Matrescence for families and mothers who want evidence-based guidance without fear, shame or one-size-fits-all plans.

Warm where it matters. Honest where it counts. Practical enough for real life.

FAQ

FAQ

Honest answers to honest questions

Do you offer sleep training?

Not in the traditional cry-it-out sense. I offer respectful sleep support based on development, physiology, attachment and your family's goals.

Do you guarantee my baby will sleep through the night?

No. Baby sleep is developmental and individual, and no ethical professional can guarantee a specific outcome. I help you understand what is happening, identify realistic changes and build a plan that supports your whole family.

Will I have to night-wean?

No. Night weaning is not an automatic part of sleep support. We consider your child’s age, development, feeding needs and your own goals.

Is formula feeding welcome?

Yes. Support is available for breastfeeding, mixed feeding, pumping and formula feeding. You will not be judged or pressured toward a particular feeding choice.

Is this only for babies?

Sleep support is for babies and children aged 0–3. Coaching is for women on leadership roles, mothers across pregnancy, postpartum, maternity leave and return to work.

Do you work online?

Yes. All sessions are online, in English or Spanish.

Can both parents join?

For sleeping support yes — and it's often recommended and very helpful.

Will I receive a standard sleep schedule?

No. I use evidence and structure, but recommendations are adapted to your child, your routines and your family’s capacity.
